Why not venture off to explore Erfoud and its palm groves when traveling in Southern Morocco? This lovely village is located in the middle of the desert at the base of the High Atlas Mountains along the route of a thousand kasbahs. It serves as a wonderful starting point for visiting the desert of Morocco, which is home to countless spectacular scenery.

Borj East: the view is breathtaking from the summit of this boulder, which overlooks both Erfoud and the nearby oasis. ksar Maadid is a quaint tiny walled settlement that may be reached by traveling north on the N13 from Erfoud. The A’n Al Ati spring, an amazing fountain in the middle of the desert, is not far from here.
Erfoud jewish cemetery:The renovation of the Jewish cemetery, which included building a shrine to Saint Rabbi Shmuel Abuhatzeira, the patriarch of a line of distinguished rabbis that included Rabbi Israel Abuhatzeira, the Baba Sali, has been supported by the government of Morocco. For Israelis with Moroccan descent, one of the most well-liked pilgrimage sites is the grave of Baba Sali in Netivot, Israel.For visitors and tourists, notably those attending the rabbi’s Hiloula in December, the Erfoud cemetery also boasts a modern synagogue.
