It is highly recommended to see the Dra’a Valley’s oldest Kasbah.

You are welcome to request that the driver stop at any scenic viewpoint along the way.

3 days desert tour from Ouarzazate itinerary :

Day 1: Ouarzazate _ Dades Gorges

Arrival to the Oasis of Skoura, where various historic kasbahs—some tragically in ruins—stand among the palm trees, before continuing on to the Dades Gorge.

Our path then passes through Kela’a M’gouna, also known as the Valley of Roses, where we stop to view the locally created cosmetic products made from the plentiful blossoms in the valley. These goods are well-known and highly esteemed throughout Morocco.

To get a deeper sense of the terrain and to stop by Berber nomads for a cup of tea, you take an off-road route from here. After stopping in the Dades gorge for lunch, you have time to meander around the fields and gardens, gorges, and gorges. You can choose to spend the night at a hotel, Kasbah, or, if you want, you can hike into the hills and stay with a Berber family.

Day 2: Dades Gorges _ Merzouga

After breakfast, the journey continues just a little distance to Tinghir and the strikingly unique Toudgha gorges, where you can take a brief walk to see the steep gorge walls and the constricted sky above. Then you proceed to the Oasis of Tafilalet in Erfoud, which is well-known for its Date Festival, the Chebbi dunes via Tinjdad, and Rissani, which is home to the Alaouite dynasty of the reigning monarch of Morocco.

You can stop along the journey between Tinjdad and Erfoud to descend into the intriguing underground water channels that are located far below the surface of the land. These channels are always cold and prevent the evaporation of this irrigation supply. You can stop in Erfoud to observe the transformation of thousands of fossils into various items.

Along the journey, we’ll stop for lunch in a Berber village. You are given a glass of tea upon arrival at the bivouac before riding a camel to the top of the dunes to view the sunset.

You eat dinner and spend the night in a luxurious camp that has a private bathroom, king-sized beds, lovely Moroccan furnishings, and lighting that have been artfully placed to maximize your enjoyment of the dunes’ peace and beauty.

Day 3: Merzouga _ Ouarzazate

If you get up early enough, you can witness the sunrise, when the dunes’ color and the shadows’ interaction create an amazing sight. The route continues through the Dra’a Valley past the Tazzarine village (which was portrayed in the movie “Babel”) and then to N’Qob for lunch.

The journey brings us to Tanasikht in the afternoon, where we travel along the road used by ancient caravans to explore the actual Dra’a Valley with its massive palm palms and historic settlements. You can visit Kasbah Tamnougalte, the oldest Kasbah in the entire valley, outside of Agdez near the head of the valley. There are still several family living there.

You cross the Tizi-n-Tinfifte pass and the Anti Atlas Mountains on your way back to Ouarzazate. Afternoon arrives and you return to Ouarzazate. Your driver will return you safely to your riad after your 3-day desert excursion from Ouarzazate to Merzouga. Around 18:00, your three-day trip from Ouarzazate to the Erg Chebbi dunes comes to a close.
