5 Days Tour From Fes to Marrakech itinirary :
Day 1 : Fes _ Middle Atlas _ Ziz Valley _ Merzouga
At 8:00 am, your driver will pick you up from your Fes riad/hotel and take you to Merzouga, where the Erg Chebbi sand dunes reside. Tafilalet, the largest oasis in southern Morocco, is reached after an 8-hour trek across the Atlas Mountains. Tafilalet is made up of numerous villages, palm groves, and the two main Saharan towns of Erfoud and Rissani. We will stop frequently along the way in the mountain village of Ifrane, the Azrou cedar forest, where monkeys live, Midelt for lunch, and Ziz valley for its breathtaking views of the palm trees and for its lush valley in the middle of the Sahara. The Erg Chebbi sand dunes will then be our destination. The dunes eventually appear in the middle as we travel further into the desert.
Day 2 :Merzouga - Erg Chebbi Dunes - tour around ( Erg chebbi desert)
You have a variety of activities after breakfast at the hotel, including exploring Merzouga’s nearby towns such Hassi Labied and Khamlia, which are home to black musicians. A desert off-road trip across Erg Chebbi’s dunes will let you to view the nomadic people who live in tents there. In the summer, take advantage of the pool or climb the dune line in front of your accommodation at Erg Chebbi.
Day 3 :Merzouga - Todra Gorges
The camels return to the motel along the dune line after breakfast so they can take a brief shower. In order to reach the Sahara town of Rissani, we depart the Erg Chebbi sand dunes and travel through the hamada (black Desert) off-road. A stop at the lively local market is optional. After that, we go north to Erfoud, which is famous for its fossils. Here, we can stop to see a fossil workshop before moving on to the spectacular Todra Canyons, where you can go hiking before checking into a hotel, having dinner, and spending the night.
Day 4:Dades Valley – Boutghrar – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off on our trek down the “Road of 1000 Thousand Kasbahs” since it is flanked on both sides by magnificent kasbahs. Unfortunately, many of those old fortified homes are in ruins; only a few of them have been renovated. After passing through the Dades Valley, we take an off-road trail up to the mountainous region, where there are many Berber villages and a few nomads who live in caves. Here, we will have the opportunity to visit one of these families and get a glimpse of their daily routines and primary occupation, “Looking after herds of goats & cheep.” Before we arrive at the Skoura palm grove, we will be astounded by the vivid rose valley’s natural surroundings. We travel an additional 45 kilometres to Ouarzazate for dinner.
Day 5:Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Marrakech
After breakfast, we can take advantage of a journey to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” to see movie sets and studios. After that, we’ll go to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. The backdrop for more than 20 movies, including “Gladiator,” “Indiana Jones,” and “Lawrence of Arabia,” has been Ait Benhaddou, a World Heritage site. Enjoy a stroll to discover the Kasbahs’ typical Moroccan architectural design. Through the Tizi n’Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains, we continue on our journey to Marrakesh.
