As you leave the city and go into the High Atlas mountains to the southeast, you’ll see stunning vistas of authentic Berber settlements and stop at some panoramic viewpoints to take photos. Visit the historic and ominous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah while having lunch in Ait Ben Haddou hamlet. Since 1987, the Kasbah, or better described as the “fortified settlement,” has been protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Lawrence of Arabia, Babel, and Gladiator were all filmed there.
You’ll stop at the largest studio in Africa after a brief trip to Ouarzazate; going inside is optional. After that, proceed to Boumalne while traversing the Valley of Roses. You have the option of visiting the rock formations in Dades Valley (also known as the “monkey fingers”) the day after or the day before you check into your lodging.

Your stuff will be delivered to your camp in a 4×4 vehicle once we reach Merzouga while you embark on a camel journey. Watch the Erg Chebbi as a magnificent crimson and orange sunset. Playing drums, telling stories, and gazing up at the night sky in the Sahara desert with natives will be an amazing experience.
